MY STORY
I had no idea what I wanted to study after high school. I had hated school and just wanted to work, but my parents had a different idea. I agreed to get a diploma in tourism in The Hague, the Netherlands.
This was surprisingly enjoyable. I went on to study languages at the University of Cambridge, supported by a scholarship from the Erasmus Program. During my studies, I worked part-time as a hotel receptionist.
After qualifying as an interpreter, I worked and travelled throughout Europe for two years.
This opened the door to marketing and management roles for large tech companies, where I discovered a real talent for coaching and building high‑performing teams. Whilst working on the audience generation for IBM’s release of Lotus Notes in 1996, my manager, Toby Stansell, recognised this talent.
I was invited to hire, train and manage a team of thirty-four linguists to ensure that key decision‑makers attended this prestigious streamed launch event, which connected live audiences at events in five countries.
I later became a show producer and travelled worldwide to organise and facilitate presentations and events such as the AS400 Tour and software tours.
The Growth of Wisdom
The transformation therapist
As much as I enjoyed developing my leadership skills and immersing myself in personal development, as my corporate career progressed, I found myself increasingly yearning for more meaningful work. I left to volunteer in an Aids stricken rural area outside of Durban, South Africa, and then travelled through Africa for eighteen months. I settled in Sydney in 2000, where I studied nutrition and coaching.
In 2006, I opened my private practice in Mona Vale. After qualifying in an energetic healing modality that accessed the wisdom of the client’s body through muscle testing (kinesiology), my work became increasingly therapeutic. I soon discovered that quantum kinesiology also works well with online clients.
Working in a capacity where I can positively impact people’s lives, while learning and evolving alongside my clients, is deeply rewarding. My passion for human potential keeps me on the path of the student, and I am committed to my own ongoing inner work and therapy. I firmly believe that the measure of our wisdom is how faithfully we live our truth.
When I look back on my life, I can clearly see that (even though there had been times where I had felt lost), everything I did prepared me for the work I love and was meant to do.
